This Newport Beach LDS Temple bridal session was TODIEFOR. That deserved to all be one word. The light was perfect. The air was cool. There was an ever so slight breeze. You could hear the birds chirping. It just felt good. It helps that I love these two people very much, too!

Rachelle & Ryan contacted me earlier in their pregnancy to discuss how important it was for them to have the birth of their second child documented. Their first child was born via cesarean section, and their birth plan for baby #2 was beautiful. Elle worked hard to labor naturally, and put so much effort into having a calm environment to do this in. After several difficult hours, she developed a fever. The heart break she felt when her midwife told her that it was time to consider surgery permeated through the room. We all shared in her moments of grief. The fear she felt about surgery and the unknowns that go hand in hand with that were felt by all of us, too. She delivered her son without complications via routine csection, and though I was unable to shoot during the birth in the operating room, I was able to be there before and after to capture those first and final moments. Here’s a slideshow of some of my favs that document the journey of this special day.

I loved this graduating Senior session! Lexi is quite the avid water athlete, so it was only appropriate that we shoot at the beach! She was clearly in her element with her sun kissed skin, her willingness to climb the rocks and get all sandy, and her all around easy going nature when I asked her to do anything and everything. It was easy and fun, and I’m so glad her mom Amy asked me to do it. I did her older sister’s senior session not so long ago (it seems), and then her baby brother’s newborn and one year sessions. I love getting to shoot the milestones for families and watch them grow. It’s really one of the neat parts of my “job” as a photographer!
